2020 Wonder of the Wetlands
Did you know you have a wetland just steps away from your home at the Bay Point Regional Shoreline?
Join us for a week-long virtual program where we will teach you all about the Wonders of the Wetlands! Take this knowledge with you on your next trip to the wetlands and impress your family and friends!
On Monday, November 9, we participated in an opening ceremony on Zoom. If you missed it, check out the Sacramento students’ presentation to learn more about the wetlands, where they are located, and what lessons to look forward to throughout the program.
Activity Modules
Over the rest of this week, please work your way through the eight videos and hands-on science activities on this website to learn how the wetlands work and their importance to our local ecosystems, including our neighborhood wetland the Bay Point Regional Shoreline.
We encourage you to complete all eight modules, but you will need to complete at least four to earn credit for completing the course. Remember, the students who participate the most will get to earn cool prizes including Amazon Kindle Fire’s, Walmart gift cards and Big Daddy Ross’s gift certificates. You will receive points for participation when you share a photo of your completed activity with your teacher Ms. Civitello or ask questions on the module page.
Links to the modules can be found below.
